After years of getting involved with subjects related to the learning of other languages ​​and personal development, I came to the following conclusion:

Easy and difficult are concepts related to feelings. We can say that such feelings are an internal judgment based on your own reference and perspective.

What is the point in saying that something is difficult?

When we accept that something is easy, it can be a motivating factor. However, accepting something as difficult can be a problem. Some people do not even start a project because of the thought that something is too difficult.

You should understand that the idea of ​​difficulty arises when something is far from our current knowledge. For example, if you already know how to calculate addition, when the time comes to learn to multiply, it will be easier since multiplying would be the next step of learning on the scale of knowledge. However, for a child who still doesn’t understand the numbers, multiplying will be a “difficult” concept.

Okay, so how can we make learning anything easy?

The answer lies in the concept of fragmentation!

Perhaps the dream of master the entire Portuguese language is distant, which is why you consider it difficult, but what if you look at a single word?

Would you be able to learn a single word? Is it challenging to discover a single word? How far is it to learn a single word?

Certainly, learning a single word is simple, isn’t it?

This basically sums up the idea of ​​the concept of fragmentation. Today you understand 5% of what was said. Tomorrow 10%, next month 15%. As you focus on learning one concept at a time, your evolution will be constant. As soon as you learn one word, you move on to the next, and so on. Always taking a single step at a time and paying close attention only to what is being taught now.

Hoje falaremos sobre 5 palavras que você, estudante da língua portuguesa, deve ficar atento!

Anteontem: Esta palavra significa “dia anterior ao dia de ontem”; “dois dias antes do dia de hoje.” Em muitos idiomas, existem um conjunto de palavras para explicar este significado. No inglês, por exemplo, se diz “The day before yesterday”, ou seja, uma sentença inteira para explicar. No português, basta dizer “anteontem” que o ouvinte já entenderá do que se trata.

Exemplo: Anteontem fui ao cinema assistir Godzilla vs KingKong.

                 Visitei minha mãe no hospital anteontem e ela estava bem.

Xodó: Esta palavra é muito usada entre pessoas com o qual se tem uma relação amorosa como namorado ou namorada. Todavia, pode ser usada também para se referir a um animal de estimação, filhos, ou seja, qualquer coisa que você ame ou tenha grande estima.  Xodó significa sentimento amoroso; afeto, chamego, estima ou afeição.

Exemplo: Que saudade de minha filha! Ela é o meu xodó!

Este meu cachorro é meu xodó!               

Saudade: Não poderíamos deixar de fora desta lista esta famosa palavra. Segundo o dicionário, saudade significa: “sentimento de nostalgia causado pela ausência de algo, de alguém, de um lugar ou pela vontade de reviver experiências, situações ou momentos já passados.” Esta é uma palavra que só existe em português! Algo similar no inglês seria a expressão: “I miss you” ou “I miss the beach” ou ainda “I miss my mom”. Como podem perceber, no inglês você deve explicar o seu sentimento, enquanto em português basta dizer saudade.

Exemplo: Que saudade da praia!

                  Saudades de quando a entrada para o cinema era bem mais barata!

Cadê: Esta palavra é usada quando estamos procurando por algo. Em muitos idiomas, como no inglês por exemplo, você teria que explicar exatamente a ação de procurar por algo: “Where is my car?” Em português basta dizer: “Cadê meu carro?”.

Exemplo: Cadê minha esposa?

                  Cadê o convite do casamento?

Gambiarra: Esta palavra significa solução improvisada para resolver um problema ou para remediar uma situação de emergência. Muito usada no Brasil quando por exemplo, queremos ligar a televisão na sala, mas não tem tomada. Ao invés de chamar um eletricista e pedi-lo que faça uma nova tomada e passe os respectivos fios, nós simplesmente puxamos uma extensão da cozinha, passando pelo meio da casa e ligamos a TV. Isto foi uma gambiarra!

Exemplo: Tive que fazer uma gambiarra para ligar a televisão.

MacGyver era o mestre da gambiarra! Fazia um explosivo com apenas um fio dental e uma coca cola.
